Organised by FUJIFILM Visualsonics and the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Sciences and Medicine, Southbank (SCMMS), the workshop will include scientific talks, updates on the latest groundbreaking developments, and practical hands-on sessions. The event also offers an excellent opportunity for attendees to engage in professional networking with fellow experts and colleagues in the field.
It will be divided into two different sessions. On Wednesday, the activities will be dedicated to cardiology with interventions from representatives of renowned institutions in the field such as King’s College London, Queen Mary University, UMG Biocev, and our partner FUJIFILM Visualsonics.
In contrast, the second session will focus on oncology. Our project coordinator, Massimo Alfano, from Ospedale San Raffaele, will deliver the keynote lecture under the title “Light the fire of undetectable lesions: Gold nanorods assisted Photoacoustic imaging and thermal treatment of bladder cancers”. His speech will address the core mission of the PHIRE project which works on developing and bringing to market a new high-resolution medical device that combines diagnosis and therapy (theranostic) for these small lesions.
The meeting is free to attend; however, pre-registration is essential due to limited availability. To secure your place, please register by sending an email to christopher.c.torres@fujifilm.com.
